Self-confessed petrol head Paddy McVeigh has a passion for anything with an engine. A lifetime working in the motor trade gaining knowledge in selling vehicles and the finance packages associated with them made him realise that he could offer a broader range of motor finance options by setting up his own business.
Carmercial Leasing was formed to offer Contract Hire, Leasing and Vehicle Management across Northern Ireland. With a wide range of funders available, relationships with all the major manufacturers and access to various special offers, Paddy’s business has gone from strength to strength.
Paddy was keen to refresh his business’s online presence by launching a new website that would better engage with their target audiences and communicate the growing range of finance options available.
We knew that the new Carmercial website needed to convey trustworthiness, honesty and value to their target customers.
Our approach to the revamp
We commenced the project with in-depth research to understand the specific improvements Carmercial required for their new website. We also conducted an in-depth analysis of keywords and search terms to ensure that the new site would be fully optimised for search engine performance.
Designed to impress
Based on our initial research we designed a site that better communicates the full range of finance packages and services offered, in easy to understand language. All service pages were created with the audience in mind, to guide them through to the right package for their situation. This included an advice section to keep customers up to date with the latest information regarding tax breaks from leasing, fuel card benefits, etc.
Customer testimonials were introduced to the site to reinforce how many clients Carmercial Leasing have already helped and show the wide range of personal and commercial vehicles they have sourced. Numerous video testimonials were produced and edited by Big Mouth Digital to compliment the extensive selection of written reviews.
Mobile friendly and search optimised
The finished website is fully responsive to mobile users which is essential when over 50% of internet searches are now conducted on mobile devices. The entire site is fully optimised for search engine performance to increase search engine rankings and attract higher numbers of visitors to the new site.
Speed optimisation plugins were installed and the site has been submitted to Google for them to recrawl and take account of the on-site SEO improvements.
By choosing to build the new site with WordPress, the most popular open-source content management system, the site will be easy for Carmercial to update with new vehicle offers and customer testimonials, of which they have plenty to boast about. Onsite training was also included.
We have also installed Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to constantly monitor key metrics moving forwards, such as:

- Increase in page views
- Increase in time on site
- Increase in conversions
We have worked with Carmercial Leasing to develop a marketing strategy to launch the new website, improve their Google ranking positions and understand the most popular sources of website traffic, to concentrate future marketing activity on.
